In this Planning Officer role you will deal with a range of planning applications for development proposals across the City. As such, you should have excellent communication and negotiation skills. The role will require you to have knowledge of the planning system as well as current planning legislation, policies and procedures. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Health Technician to join the Environmental Protection Team.</p><p>As the successful post holder working within a small team, you will undertake a wide range of duties across the service including responding to and investigating reports relating to noise, dust, odour, light and other public health nuisances, using a range of advice and enforcement options to secure improvements.&nbsp;</p><p>Experience of dealing with the public is an essential requirement of this post, but prior knowledge of environmental protection matters is not essential as the appointee will be supported to develop their knowledge in this area.&nbsp;</p><p>Good administrative skills and an ability to communicate effectively with the public are essential requirements.
