            <p id="isPasted">Located in the heart of the Lancashire, Preston is a vibrant city with a rich history, beautiful landscapes, and a thriving cultural scene. With over &pound;20m of Towns Fund grant, major leisure and public realm projects underway, a new commercial quarter planned at Preston station and the ongoing implementation of the multi-award-winning City Living Strategy alongside the delivery of thousands of new homes and major infrastructure investment and delivery through the City Deal, Preston has developed a new confidence for positive change. &nbsp;</p><p>We are looking to secure maternity cover in the Planning and Building Control Unit and are seeking enthusiastic, well organised and self-motivated individuals who can work as part of a team, but also individually using their own initiative to take up this role. &nbsp;</p><p>You will be required to work to deadlines, therefore you must have good time management skills. You will assist in supervising and co-ordinating workloads within the Planning and Building Control Support Unit. &nbsp;You will also provide technical and administrative support to the Planning and Building Control teams and previous experience and/or an understanding of the Development Management and Building Control processes would be highly advantageous but not essential.</p><p>You will need to have an extensive understanding of Microsoft Office products and electronic document management systems.
